Anastasia Strauss

Anastasia Strauss is a Ukrainian interior designer and artist.

For her clients she designs comfortable, stylish apartments and houses. But when she wants to add personality to an already finished environment, she turns to art. She makes abstract paintings for interiors and her works are characterized by the fact that they are not repetitive and fit perfectly into the finished interior. My works can be found in Ukraine, Canada, England and recently in Austria.

“I have a real love for paint, probably because I was afraid of it for so long. I was afraid to make a big brush stroke on the canvas. I was afraid that I would do something wrong and the painting would be spoiled.

That is no longer the case! I have been drawing for 20 years and my art has evolved from representational to non-representational. I like to paint landscapes, portraits and still lifes. But when I let freedom into my hands, my paintings found the life I was looking for in my work.

Now it is free mixing of colors on canvas and paper.

My works live on feelings and associations, here you can see everything: from seascapes to the inner world of a person. And for this I sincerely fight, because when the viewer solves my painting, he dives into his own feelings, he reveals his own secrets.”
