Anastasiia Kovtun

Born in Kiev, Ukraine, in a family of artists.

Education in two directions - art and psychology. Specialization in art - painting and graphics. For Anastasia Kovtun psychology and art are two important components of one whole, one being verbal and the other spiritual. She has studied in depth psychoanalysis and art, cultural history, philosophy and theology. A great passion for her is the spiritual, phenomenological nature of art.

“The most precious gift that art has given is the illumination of that depth which is inaccessible to consciousness. Art has the ability to illuminate the spiritual and plastic depth. In art we can see not only the external appearance of objects, but also their inner essence. Creating works of art is an intention, an onslaught from within, against which resistance is futile. You are not the one who paints, you are the one with whom is painted.”
