Armina Hatic is an artist who cannot be pigeonholed. The range of her works resembles an endless playing field of art. What her works have in common is a high level of quality. Sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, installation - for Armina Hatic, the discipline or technique arises according to what best conveys the artistic message. She does not have to look for a theme, the themes force themselves on her. One could also say that she sees art in things that others overlook. This is what distinguishes the artist: to see a story in the everyday and to translate it into an artistic, mostly socio-critical language.
Armina Hatic flies. Her view of the world is comparable to that of a bird's eye view. Every interpersonal encounter leaves a trace and these traces shape her work. In painting she developed a technique with which she layers these transparent traces of life in large gestural painting on paper and canvas. She manages to bundle harmony with narrative drama in a form that draws us in, carries us along, makes us empathize and touches us. Using foam reliefs, she gives painting spatiality. But that is still not enough for her: with considerable physical effort she also brings meter-high, hand-bent metal objects into her work - an effort that also exhausts her physically.

“I always find new ways, materials and techniques to translate my view of the world and everything that surrounds us in art. My works are critical, cheerful, often political and always convincing. I confront my viewers with my perspective on social, political and interpersonal phenomena. I follow with the utmost consistency the path that I have once taken and continue to walk this steadily. You may be very curious to which artistic considerations and solutions this path will still lead me.”
