"Innerer Dialog" - Exhibition diary
The first Arthentico solo exhibition "Inner Dialog" featuring Alina Babenko opened on October 25, 2022, in Vienna, Austria. Most of the 20 paintings originated from Kyiv, where Alina had previously lived. These were complemented by on-site paintings created by the artist. Particularly fascinating to observe is the transformation of the artist's style, which became more abstract due to the destabilized situation in her hometown when comparing new and older paintings. The exhibition took place in a protected building from the 14th century located in the heart of Vienna. It's said that Mozart once frequented this house and even temporarily lived there to see his lover. Alina's art, combined with this historical location, generated great interest among our guests. Around 100 people attended the private opening, including representatives from the Ukrainian, Swiss, Polish, and Israeli embassies. The relaxed atmosphere and unique setting were well received by the audience. Most guests mentioned that they had never stayed at a vernissage for such a long time. The unveiling was accompanied by violinist Dominika Witowicz, who played "Rise Like a Phoenix" by Conchita Wurst on the violin as the highlight of the evening. This complemented the story of Alina's "Phoenix" painting, in which the artist sees hope for the resurrection of Ukraine. The exhibition ran until October 30, 2022, and attracted many visitors daily. Throughout the exhibition, Alina Babenko and Arthentico provided visitors with a brief insight into Alina's artistic world. Arthentico was particularly pleased with the thank-you speech from the First Ukrainian Embassy Secretary, Volodymyr Kolomiez, who thanked the gallery on behalf of Ukraine for its support of Ukrainian culture and also highlighted the current situation in the artist's home country, Ukraine. Arthentico was the first gallery in Vienna to offer support to Ukrainian artists and has since become an active promoter of Ukrainian art. Arthentico has now established itself as a heartful gallery of Ukrainian culture and will continue to promote and establish talented Ukrainian artists in Vienna. The unique exhibition buffet was made possible by our sponsors: Hannes Steurer from Weinbau Steurer Traude & Hannes Haslau, the Murau brewery with their non-alcoholic Murelli lemonades, as well as bread rolls from MeinBrötchen.at.
