"Powerful, Feminine" This is how some would describe the art of Iryna Depko. Born and living in Lviv, the artist developed a unique gift throughout her life - namely, a connection to art. As the first artist in her family, Depko had to face many obstacles, including the stereotype that "art is not a profession". All the more remarkable is the rise of the artist, who now inspires many people with her gift and is represented in collections worldwide.

Arthentico is proud to have opened the first solo exhibition of the artist in Vienna, in front of about 80 guests, including the representatives of the Swiss Embassy and thanks all the participants of the exhibition opening. Especially popular among the visitors, was the painting "Figure IX - Dancer", which, contrary to the title, was also the first painting of the "Figures" series of the artist. It was exciting to watch the evolution of the artist, who over time began to use increasingly vivid colors in combination with black accents. Depko describes this stylistic development as a refuge for negative emotions.

The unveiling was accompanied by violinist Dominika Witowicz and bandura player Bohdan Shutka, who as the highlight of the evening played the Ukrainian lemma song "Тиха вода - still water" together, touching the visitors emotionally. The exhibition runs until 29.April.2023 and attracts many visitors every day. If you are interested, you can always ask us for a personal tour of the exhibition.

Arthentico was the first gallery in Vienna to offer support to Ukrainian artists and has since become an active promoter of Ukrainian art. Arthentico has now established itself as a heart gallery of Ukrainian culture and will continue to promote and establish talented Ukrainian artists in Vienna.

The exhibition's unique buffet was made possible by our sponsors Lemonaid+ and Columbus Drinks.
