Exhibition diary "Folded realities

In the center of Vienna, the art exhibition "Folded Reality" presented a collection of artworks resulting from the collaboration of renowned artist Michael Wegerer and GPT, an AI-powered language model by OpenAI.

The works displayed a unique blend of traditional art techniques and modern AI-generated patterns, shapes and colors. The result was a fascinating fusion of the real and the surreal that took the viewer on a journey through a world that was both familiar and unfamiliar.

A.I got creative

An idea generated by GPT was to have our guests design a wall with post-it notes, which provided a lot of fun and creativity.

The concept of "Folded Reality" was born from Arthentico's idea to explore the potential of artificial intelligence in the art world. By combining the creativity of an artist with the vast possibilities of AI, the exhibition aimed to push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of art. The collaboration between Michael Wegerer and GPT was a process of co-creation, with the artist providing the initial inspiration and the AI model contributing its own ideas and suggestions.

The result was a collection of artworks that were not only visually stunning, but also thought-provoking. Each work invited viewers to think about the role of AI in the creation of art and the possibilities it presents. The exhibition not only demonstrated the potential of AI in the art world, but also encouraged conversations about the ethical implications of using AI in creative endeavors.

The opening evening of the exhibition was attended by various people from different fields such as art lovers, AI experts and politicians such as the district councilors of the Inner City Polina Vekova and Larissa Faad, as well as Secretary General of Paneuorpa Austria Rainhard Kloucek. The exhibition triggered lively discussions about the connection between art and technology and the role of AI in the creative process.
