Our collaboration with Michael Wegerer, GPT-4, and Dall-E has led to the development of a groundbreaking concept that combines AI and human artistry in a way that has never been done before. Rather than planning the exhibition ourselves, we have delegated the task to the AI, resulting in an overwhelmingly positive response from renowned entrepreneurs like João Ferrão dos Santos, the founder of the biggest AI-business project.
However, our purpose in organizing this exhibition goes beyond simply chasing the latest trend. We sought to discover a meaningful objective that would not compete with human artistry but rather complement it. As we approach our grand opening on April 26th, we extend a warm invitation for you to join us and be a part of this remarkable event.
Timeline
1- The AI suggested various concepts for our exhibition, from which we ultimately chose Michael Wegerer's folding technique to blend human craftsmanship with artificial intelligence.
2- We selected a familiar location for our audience in the first district, specifically Himmelpfortgasse 12, which fortunately was available.
3- After contacting Michael, we arranged a meeting to discuss our ideas and further develop the concept.
4- Our meeting with Michael was highly productive, and he proposed a remarkable idea to incorporate Open-AI to create art that represented both human and AI perspectives from various angles.
5- To ensure the most authentic representation of AI, we utilized Michael's previous series in Dall-E and limited it to five attempts. From those attempts, we selected the most compelling themes.
6- Afterwards, Michael was bringing this series to life by interacting and communicating with ChatGPT and DALL-E Open AI throughout the process.
7- Michael began bringing the concept to life by selecting the initial patterns and folding processes.
8- Meanwhile, we tasked GPT-4 with proposing a name for our collaborative project. We were presented with five options:
Dialogues between Man and Machine: Exploring Creativity with AI
Algorithmic Art: A Collaborative Approach to Creativity
Boundaries Expanded: When Art and Artificial Intelligence Meet
Folding Realities: Fusion of Human and Machine Creativity
Colors, Forms, and Figures: An Artistic Conversation with AI
Upon our request, GPT-4 ultimately selected option 4 - "Folding Realities".
9- As the next step, Michael conducted color experiments to incorporate the proposed color spectrum of the AI into the concept he had created.
10- The founder João Ferrão dos Santos, on whom this story is built, reacted to our previous update, and we had a call in the following week. We were thrilled about this exciting opportunity!
11- Our project garnered interest from several press agencies, and many of them attended our grand opening.
12- Meanwhile, we asked GPT-4 to create an interactive part of the exhibition, and it suggested various options. We chose one of them, which you will discover by visiting our exhibition or reading our next week's update after the official opening!
13- In the meantime, Michael Wegerer was finishing the entire series, and we got our first glance on what they created on the Monday of the following week, just two days before the exhibition!
