Iryna Depko

Iryna Depko is a contemporary artist and photographer from Ukraine. She lives and works in Ukraine and Poland. Born in 1990 in Lviv, Ukraine.

Iryna pursues her own vision and her artistic maturity results in powerful paintings that capture subjects in a broad abstract-figurative style, incorporating color combinations to express her vital aesthetic views.

Her career as a photographer marks the beginning of a new direction in Iryna's work, as her earlier photographs have become her inspiration. She has always enjoyed photographing women, which inspired her to create a painterly collection of "figures." This collection is synthetic, like the gymnasts and dancers in Iryna's photographs.

With the emergence of new subjects, Iryna has not stopped working on the existing collection of landscapes, as she emphasizes that she likes to work on two collections at the same time. This approach allows her to indulge in different emotions. With the rapid increase of interest in her landscape paintings, the collection received additional approval and was expanded into sub-collections of marine, urban and nature motifs.

“Although I became a pioneer in the field of art in my family, I never graduated from art school. I always struggled with the stereotype that "artist is not a profession". Because of the many myths surrounding painting, I didn't take the profession too seriously at first and looked for something more prestigious. That's why I decided to pursue another line of education - interior design.”

2013 graduated from the National Polytechnic University of Lviv.
