"Echoes Through Time: The Enigmatic Dance of Art and Emotion at Vienna's Alte Schieberkammer"
In the heart of Vienna, at the Alte Schieberkammer, a unique art exhibition titled "Zwischen Gestern, Heute und Morgen" recently unveiled its captivating array of artworks. Organized by Arthentico in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vienna, the exhibition showcased the profound works of artists Michał Wasiak and Udo Hohenberger from November 1st to 4th, 2023.
"If one were to present the art of these two artists at the Biennale, it couldn’t be done more professionally." This unforgettable compliment, deeply moving the organizers, set the tone for an exhibition that beckoned art enthusiasts to experience the captivating world created by Wasiak and Hohenberger.
The Artistic Showcase
Michal Wasiak, the artist who mainly exhibited sculptures from his life's work, impressed visitors with his groundbreaking artistic expressiveness that provoked thought. Particularly captivating was the sculpture "Ritual", which made many visitors curious about its meaning. Instead of giving a direct answer, we often responded to questions with a counter-question, hearing some of the most fascinating interpretations. From a military leader looking down on fighting soldiers to a tech CEO enslaving people with his technology, there was a wide range of interpretations. The artist himself prefers not to put his own interpretation in the foreground. Indeed, the work was deliberately created to stimulate creativity and encourage the viewer to find their own interpretation.
Udo Hohenberger, already a well-known name in the art world and among the visitors of our gallery, presented his life's work with paintings on canvas and paper. In particular, his work "Emotion" conveyed a sense of comfort in an empathetic way. The selection of works by Udo Hohenberger impressed with their fascinating variety of emotions. Despite a clear recognizability, each painting transports a completely different emotional world, from impulsive to tender, from warm to cold.
The Exhibition Experience
The exhibition opening attracted over 60 guests, including an opening speech by the Polish Embassy in Vienna and Arthentico Founder & CEO Maciej Pajak. Over 100 guests visited throughout the exhibition, enjoying its captivating feeling. The evening's ambiance was gracefully elevated by the exquisite selection of wines provided by Weingut Neumayer, lending a touch of refined elegance to the already festive atmosphere.
Concluding Reflections
For Arthentico, the collaboration with the Embassy of Poland in Vienna was more than just an exhibition; it was a testament to the power of art in bringing communities together. The high-quality, extraordinary art presented in this event left both Arthentico and the Embassy of Poland in Vienna immensely satisfied and proud.
As the doors of Alte Schieberkammer closed on this remarkable exhibition, the memories and impressions it left behind continue to inspire and resonate with those who had the pleasure of experiencing "Zwischen Gestern, Heute und Morgen."
