30 x 40 cm - framed
Description: The work "Folded Figures 22 Wave No.18" by Michael Wegerer represents his artistic practice, which includes extended processes of printmaking and installation. It shows an extraordinary combination of colors that were applied to the paper with great care. The undulating shape of the paper required a high degree of skill and expertise to execute. As in many of his works, Wegerer emphasizes the importance of interaction between viewer and artwork. He encourages the viewer to look at the work from different angles and to gain a new perspective by changing their point of view. Despite its small size, the work has a strong visual presence and captures the viewer's attention. Depending on the angle of view, it appears different and the colors seem to change in intensity. Wegerer thus creates a work of art that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also allows for deeper reflection on the perception of art and space.

Description: The painting "Love will have your back" by Sofiia Bortnikova shows a young girl kissing a soldier goodbye. The soldier is protecting his beloved and his homeland from a terrible war. The girl and the background almost merge together to show the fragility of the peaceful world. On the left side there is a traditional Ukrainian ornament, the "Tree of Life", symbolizing the different stages of human life. Symbols of the Trinity of the world, mythical birds and the Tree of Life are common in Ukrainian folk art and unite the different levels of existence.
