Description: The inspiration for the work "Love is the cure" by Sofiia Bortnikova was a dream. The artist dreamed of walking along the deserted seashore and seeing a group of black, dirty pelicans. She decided to help one of the birds by washing the dirt from its wings. As the dream progressed, more and more white pelicans became visible, basking in the sun. Bortnikova interpreted this dream as a sign from the universe that there is hope that those who can keep their inner light in difficult times will share it and help others. She also alludes to the war in her native Ukraine.
