Muse #03 - Krassimir Kolev
Ink on paper, 2022
29 x 20 cm - framed
Description of the “Muses” series by Krassimir Kolev: The "Muses" drawings by Kolev from 2022 were created to complement his "Secrets of the woods" series and show a creative exploration of magical female figures, which are represented in different ways abstracted. These pictorial representations arise from an intensive collaboration of the artist with models who were guests in his studio. The focus is not on the perfection of the human body, but on the representation of the magical in his works. Accordingly, the drawings are to be understood as dynamic and expressive works, which show themselves in a creative merging of human form and aesthetic abstraction.
