Sofiia Bortnikova

Sofiia Bortnikova is a visual artist from Ukraine. In her works she explores real life and people through humor, fantastic and absurd situations and uses bold, dynamic compositions and bright colors.colors. Her approach is based on combining aesthetics of different styles and eras with decorative patterns, graffiti and typographic elements. Her paintings are colorful, character-driven and light-hearted.Her artwork was influenced primarily by the study of art history. Especially the ancient iconography. Sofiia was literally fascinated by the smoothness of lines and silhouettes, simplicity and expressiveness of compositions and absolutely extraordinary colors combined with gold and silver leaves. The artist is also inspired by nature, animals and meditation when she paints her pictures. It is very important to her to convey a positive, joyful and a little fairy-tale message. In this she sees her main task as an artist: to share brightness and harmony with people.
